Italy 2012 in Doubt

Following from the horrific scenes at the Olympic Stadium last night where the Italian Police horrifically and brutaly attacked the Manchester United fans surely the favourites for the Euro 2012 tournament won't go to Italy.

It doesn't stop there however. Utd fans making there way to the stadium were set upon by Italian police and "fans". When you add this to the violence earlier this year, I can see no reason why Italy should be rewarded with the hosting of the Euro 2012 tournament!

And do you want my personal opinion about the BBC coverage of the thuggary by the Italian police? No you really don't want to hear what I have to say about that!

Euro 2012 to witness 24 teams?

The Telegraph is reporting that Uefa president Lennart Johansson is predicting that this will be ratified in the Uefa Congress, in Dusseldorf, on Jan 25-26.

"I am convinced that the majority will vote for this change," said Johansson. "The difference in quality between national teams is smaller than before."

So possibly for Italy Euro 2012 there'll be a massive 24 teams fighting for the title. How this will work, we're not sure but we await the details.
