Poland Fear Being Kicked Out

Reuters report that Poland fear being kicked out of the Euro 2008 tournament because of FIFA's "row" with their government.

Reuters comment:

The trouble started on Friday when Polish Sports Minister Tomasz Lipiec suspended the board of the national football association and appointed Andrzej Rusko as a commissioner in its place following new arrests in a match-fixing investigation.

FIFA have suspended nation's FA's because of government involvement before so it doesn't look good!

Roy Hodgson has gone for experience in his 23-man squad to face Poland away in Bydgoszcz on the 2nd September and then Helsinki at home the following week.

Teemu Tainio who plies his trade for Spurs and Jari Litmanen who now plays for Malmo are back in the group after being out with injury.
