Bern Stadium - Travel Information (Stade de Suisse, Wankdorf)

If England play here and they loose you'll be able to guess what the headlines will be!

Its a fairly new stadium as they they started to build it in 2003 but actually opened in 2005. Its another artificial pitch which I hope they'll get rid of by the time the Euro 2008 tournament starts!

Getting there:

Buses & Trams:
There is a good bus and tram service in Bern. The official site is here.

Taxis:
There are taxis at the train station (+41 (0)31 311 18 18) and at CasinoPlatz (+41 (0)31 311 18 18)

Trains:
The Swiss Travel System is great. Check out their site for information about discounted travel cards. Check out times here.

The central train station is only about 3 miles from the stadium.

Bern Airport:
The aiport is about 8 miles by road from the Stade de Suisse, Wankdorf and about 6 miles to the centre of Bern.
