The result was convincing enough. The lads did the job they needed to do and came away with full points.

David Beckham seemed to be the difference but it was Joe Cole's flash of skill that broke the deadlock after 36 minutes as he controlled a flick on from Crouch on his chest and shot off the post and into the goal. If you watch closely you'd even see Steven Gerrard not watching the play whilst his team went one up.

Beckham contributed to the second goal as Crouch headed home 8 minutes after the break and then was in the action again as he crossed for Owen to slot the ball home to give England a three goal advantage.

David went off later on with a twisted ankle but the job was done.

Estonia could have got a consolation goal as the clock ticked down but John Terry cleared off the line.

It wasn't a great performance - but who cares, three points have been notched up!
