JJB Needs England Euro 2008 Success

JJB Sports recently had to fork out £5.4m for a failed challenge to a fine relating to price-fixing charges so the last thing they need is their national football team with all those England football shirt sales not to make it to the Euro 2008 finals.

They've recently said that if England don't make it, it could cost them millions of pounds of lost sales. They've also asserted that after a strong year due to shirt sales associated with the World Cup, they'll be selling £20m worth of fewer replca kits.

Tom Knight, the chief executive, said: "If England fail to qualify it would certainly have a detrimental impact on our numbers. We would lose from lost replica sales and more from the feel-good factor so it's very important that England do well."

There's so much riding on the players!
