But for me it was a mistake, here's why: We'll loose! The FA seem very concerned about spin and are more interested in having a game that everyone will gravitate too. But for me we should be putting on a game about grit and determination and reminds us of our past success - we should be playing Germany.

It would also remind people of the fantastic game in Munich on 1st September 2001 where England had to beat Germany to stand a chance of topping the World Cup qualifying group. The grit and determination mixed with great skill saw us beat the Germans 5-1. That sort of performance is needed now. Having a match where the fans can really get behind the team, where the fans will have so much pride at stake would really spur the team on. Sadly this won't be the case.
