Lithuania 1-2 Scotland

Scotland started off a fantastic night for the home nations with a fantastic display against Lithuania.

From the outset it was an action-packed game. But it turned on twenty-two minutes when McFadden had to go off though injury. With the introduction of his replacement, Graham Alexander meant that Walter Smith had to change the style of the team.

Unfortunately, Miller received a booking that means that his potency will be missing from the next game against France. And then there was another injury when Quashie limped off just before the break.

As soon as the teams had come out, Daily put Scotland ahead with a headed goal and then Kenny Miller put Scotland 2-0 up with a driving goal on 61 minutes.

But six minutes from time the Lithuanian substitute, Miceika, put the pressure on with a goal.

With the final whistle Scotland took the three points and two wins out of two.
